Fishing the Midwest, one of the longest running fishing television shows in North America, will return to the airwaves in early 2026. In a recent interview, Mike Frisch, host of the award-winning series, said that the upcoming version of Fishing the Midwest will continue its history of providing outstanding fishing information and entertainment. Fishing the Midwest is entering its 37th year of revealing close-to-home fishing opportunities and techniques. Fishing the Midwest can be seen in over twenty-one million homes weekly during the year.
Frisch continued “2026 episodes of Fishing the Midwest will take viewers to some of the Midwest’s, and country’s, top fishing destinations. While at those destinations, we reveal some of the biggest fish catches in our history, lots of quality large and smallmouth bass and giant walleyes, including one over 14 pounds! We’ll also reveal the techniques and equipment that we used to be successful, information that will enable our viewers to increase their chances for more fishing success on their home waters.”
The Fishing the Midwest umbrella includes Fishing the Midwest television, the popular Tie One On Quick Casts, and the REEL-Times digital newsletter. Plus, Mike Frisch and Bob Jensen, Fishing the Midwest’s founder, continue to author and distribute feature and syndicated fishing articles and blogs that reach millions of readers worldwide. Frisch is also the founder of the ZEBCO School of Fish, the Midwest’s leader in youth fishing education.
