ZEBCO School of Fish completes 10th Year!
The ZEBCO School of Fish, recognized by many as the leaders in kids fishing education, recently completed their 10th year of hosting fishing classes for kids, parents, and other adults. The ZEBCO School of Fish taught 25 Schools in 2022 graduating 577 “water-ready” kids and 227 adults attended as well.
“School of Fish expanded to several new communities in 2022, but also returned to many locales where we have been multiple times in the past” said Mike Frisch, one of the organization’s co-founders. “We think it speaks well of our program and curriculum when communities have us back year after year.”
Started in Alexandria, MN in 2013, the ZEBCO School of Fish was very well received and has expanded to present classes in 6 states, has now taught over 250 Schools, and has graduated 5,696 kids and 1,945 adults have attended Schools in the program’s existence.
“We continue to graduate water-ready kids who have the knowledge, skills, and equipment needed to start their fishing careers,” stated Frisch. “Most importantly, we try to provide the School of Fish experience in a fashion that excites them about our sport!”
Frisch also lauded the program’s sponsors in helping grow the ZEBCO School of Fish. “Our supporters, many of which have been with us from day one, continue to see great value in exposing kids and their families to fishing and the great outdoors. Their great support allows us to provide quality education and the fishing equipment needed to help students get their fishing careers off to great starts,” Frisch concluded.
